London, Sep 12 England's Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad revealed he has torn a muscle in his shoulder.
Broad had suffered a sudden pain in his right arm during the last over of India's innings during the tied fourth ODI match at Lord's here Sunday. He received the results of a scan Monday and is likely to be out of the fifth ODI at Cardiff.
"Bad news on the shoulder, torn a muscle, I know which one, just can't spell it," Broad tweeted.
His fitness will also be in question for the two Twenty20 matches against West Indies at the end of September, meaning England may have to turn to their fifth captain of the summer.
England are already without Twenty20 vice-captain Eoin Morgan who has an impending shoulder surgery.
